2. Set hand brake lever to its extreme forward position and insert brake gauge "H."
3. Adjust front adjustable pull rod to its proper length and connect. Remove brake gauge "H." Adjust rear adjustable pull-rods so that the eyes of the cam operating levers are 3, inches from the front face of the banjo housing and connect pull rods. Hook up pull back spring.
4. See that the front wheel bearings are properly adjusted.

5. Centralize brakes on each wheel by loosening centralizer bolt "J" and tapping it up and down to make sure that the centralizer is free.

6. Tighten the brake adjusting screw "L" slowly while rotating wheel forward, until the high spot on the brake drum is reached, hold in this position and tighten the brake adjusting screw "L" firmly, then tighten centralizer bolt "I"
7. Loosen up on the brake adjusting screw until the shoes just clear drums. Tighten check nuts "K."
8. Pull hand brake lever back and check for equalization, loosening up on the tight brake until both are equal.
9. Set hand brake lever in its extreme forward position and adjust the hand brake lever to cross shaft pull rod to its proper length and connect, making sure clevis pin is in its extreme rear position in slot.
Road test truck, apply brakes to check action at light, medium and maximum pedal pressures.
CAUTION— BE SURE THAT ALL BRAKE
ROD PINS ARE SECURELY COTTER PINNED
